This service provides psychological assessment and treatment for people within the psychological therapy service at the Claybrook Centre or in community mental health teams.
This service is for people with complex aor chronic mental health difficulties.
Advice for carers about managing specific conditions is also available.
Clinical psychologists help people to manage and ease their mental distress through a variety of treatment approaches.
Assessments may be carried out through interviews, questionnaires and direct observation. Assessment may lead to therapy, counselling or advice.
Individual and group therapy is offered. The main therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioural and schema-focused therapy.

Referrals are made to psychologists by community mental health services or from within the psychological therapy service.
