Suitable For:
Male offenders aged 18-65 with a suspected or actual diagnosis of personality disorder who are in prison, high secure or medium secure services and whose original borough of residence is within the M25. Particularly suitable for those with previous contact with psychiatric services, or a history of severe self-harm or other mental health conditions. Some motivation to engage in therapy is needed although referrals can be for assessment only.
Offer:
Part of the Forensic Intensive Psychological Treatment Service, Waddon Ward provides 15 medium secure hospital places for the assessment, treatment and care of male offenders who have personality disorders and who may be a risk to themselves and others. Assessment lasts 3-4 months, treatment 1-2 years. Treatment includes practical support, group-work and individual therapy sessions.
