The Service has been designed for high risk young offenders with behavioural, emotional and relationship difficulties. The service offers a range of therapeutic activities to help service users progress through their sentence addressing their emotional and risk related needs. It is particularly aimed at those who are not able to (for various reasons) to access the normal services already available in the prison due to the way they behave.

Suitable for:

Men currently at Aylesbury, classified as high risk of serious harm. Some motivationto engage is needed although this can be minimal. Denial of offending is not a barrier to engagement. Likely to have a history of getting into fights regularly,struggling to make progress in their sentence or in life, always being on basic regime, spending a lot of time in the segregation unit, self‐harming and struggling to manage their feelings and behaviour.

Offer:

The service offers low intensity preparatory interventions including keywork, psychoeducation and structured and socially creative groups, as well as a more intensive therapeutic programme for men with a year or more left to serve.
