Suitable for:
People who are 18 years old and above living in Haringey and has both a severe and enduring mental illness and problematic substance misuse.
Exclusion criteria: Individuals who do not have the above, or those with learning difficulties, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Korsakoff’s Syndrome, cognitive impairment, etc. (i.e. those that do not have the ability to cognitively engage with the Dual Diagnosis Workers and avail of interventions such as motivational interviewing, coping skills, relapse prevention and contingency management).

We provide advice, help, support and more specialised interventions to those with a dual diagnosis. Mental health and drug and alcohol misuse support services include:
- Physical Health Check
- Referral for screening/ vaccination for Hepatitis
- Specialist assessments (e.g. psychiatric)
- Referral for specialist substitute drug treatment and community care assessment
- Harm Reduction advice
- Access to community and specialist teams in Haringey
- Motivational Interviewing
- Own keyworker
- Group therapy
- Relapse Prevention
- Drug Free Treatment Contingency Management
- Teaching and training for professionals within Trust

Referral Process
This service can be accessed through Haringey community and acute mental health services including the inpatient wards at Ann’s Hospital, as well as non-statutory specialist drug and alcohol services in Haringey (HAGA, DASH, CRi, Eban) and probation services.
